If you were planning to apply for a plot in Naimish Nagar and thought you'd missed the window, here's some good news. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has extended registration for Naimish Nagar Yojana by three days. The new last date is 27 October 2026.
The original deadline was 24 October. LDA pushed it because banks were closed over the weekend, and a lot of applicants couldn't complete their registration payment in time. So if you were stuck at the payment step, this is your chance.
Quick facts about Naimish Nagar Yojana
Naimish Nagar is one of LDA's biggest residential plot schemes right now. It sits on Sitapur Road in the Bakshi Ka Talab area, on the northern side of Lucknow. The full township is reported to cover around 4,100 acres, and Phase 1 offers 1,673 residential plots.
The LDA rate for Phase 1 is ₹3,800 per sq ft. Plot sizes across LDA's new schemes this season range from roughly 72 sq m to 450 sq m, so there's something for small families as well as people wanting a larger plot for a bigger house.
The scheme was launched on 24 September 2026 alongside Varun Vihar Yojana, under the Chief Minister's Urban Expansion Scheme. It had actually been planned for an earlier launch (ground-breaking in April and registration from May were talked about), but it slipped a few times before finally opening.
Who should look at Naimish Nagar?
Honestly, it depends on why you're buying.
If you want a plot to build your own home in a planned colony with proper roads, drainage and approved layouts, an LDA scheme is about as safe as it gets in Lucknow. You're buying from the development authority itself, so you avoid the biggest headache in UP land buying: unapproved plotting.
If you're buying purely as an investment, it's worth thinking about the timeline. Large LDA townships take years to fully develop. The land value usually climbs as roads, power and schools come in, but you'll need patience.
And if your budget is tighter, compare it with Varun Vihar on the Agra Expressway side, where the LDA rate is lower at ₹2,800 per sq ft. We've written a separate side-by-side comparison of the two schemes.
How to register before 27 October
The process is fully online. Here's the basic flow:
- Go to LDA's official registration portal: registration.ldalucknow.in
- Create your account using your mobile number and email
- Fill in your personal details and choose the plot category you want
- Upload the required documents (usually photo, signature, Aadhaar and PAN)
- Pay the registration amount online
- Download and save your acknowledgement
Don't leave the payment for the last few hours. Bank and payment gateway issues are exactly why the deadline got extended in the first place, and the final day usually brings heavy traffic on the portal.
A word of caution
Every time a big LDA scheme opens, people start getting calls from "agents" promising guaranteed allotment for an extra fee. Don't fall for it. LDA allots plots through a lottery, and nobody can guarantee you a plot. Apply only through the official portal, and if you have doubts, call the LDA helpline at 1800-1800-5000.
What happens after registration?
Once registration closes, LDA will scrutinise applications and then hold a lottery for allotment. Keep an eye on LDA announcements for the lottery date. If you're allotted a plot, you'll get a letter with the payment schedule for the remaining amount.
If you don't get lucky in the lottery, your registration amount is normally refunded as per the scheme terms.
